Jim Aitken has given a lifetime of service to Penrith, NSW, and the greater community.

Jim’s family moved to Penrith from the small central west NSW village of Bogan Gate (west of Parkes) in 1959.

A butcher by trade in his youth, he has enjoyed many other business and vocational successes – fireman, taxi proprietor/driver, garbologist and property developer.

More recently, real estate entrepreneur and casual dining/gift shop operator, with interests in the printing and graphic arts industry.

Jim, his wife Pam and family are all involved in the business, social and church life of the Penrith community. He has 15 years, experience on Penrith City Council (Mayor in 2008/09) and 19 years with Penrith Valley Rotary Club. He has been involved in progress and welfare organisations and many projects to assist children with disabilities.

His business success is well documented throughout the Penrith area. With more than 200 staff servicing his various commercial interests, he is one of the largest private sector employers in the area.
